The bird, possibly a dove, is drawn in thick black lines in profile, turned toward the right. It has a pointed beak, short crown, and a long and sinuous neck. The right, leaf-shaped wing is prominently displayed and constitutes the lower outline of the figure. A line runs at its center, schematically suggesting the feathers’ orientation. The tail feathers are barely indicated by two thicker lines. The bird has a very elongated and thin thigh, which terminates in a large triangle-shaped claw.","caption":"Drawing of a bird","writingStyleInEnglish":"charcoal","property":{"englishPropertyName":"Basilica","italianPropertyName":"Basilica","insula":{"shortName":"Agora","fullName":"Agora","city":{"name":"Smyrna","pleiadesId":"550771"}},"propertyTypes":[{"name":"Basilica","description":""}],"numberOfGraffiti":325,"uri":"Smyrna/Agora/1","propertyName":"Basilica","propertyNumber":"1"},"figuralInfo":{"drawingTags":[{"name":"Animals","description":"drawings of animals"}],"descriptionInLatin":"((:avis))","descriptionInEnglish":"bird"},"trismegistosNumber":null,"uri":"https://ancientgraffiti.org/Graffiti/graffito/AGP-SMYD00299","agpId":"AGP-SMYD00299","citation":"AGP-SMYD00299, The Ancient Graffiti Project, <https://ancientgraffiti.org/Graffiti/graffito/AGP-SMYD00299> [accessed: 28 Apr 2026]","graffitoHeight":"35","graffitoLength":"30","pleiadesId":"550771","locationMetadataLink":"properties/Smyrna/Agora/1"}
