Commentary Dipinto of a gladiator, located in the upper right quadrant of the back wall of Bay 11. The lines are very faded, making the drawing very difficult to read. The figure, in three-quarter, is shown as advancing to the left, with the left leg stretched forward. The head seems to be covered by a brimmed helmet, while the upper part of the body is covered by a large shield that reaches down to the knees only. These two elements suggest that the gladiator might have been a provocator.
