Apparatus Criticus: | 3. Not much is visible of the second sigma of Ἀσίας, but it seems syntactically unavoidable. 4. A horizontal trench has been cut in the plaster to eliminate whatever was originally written here. 5–6. φυλάξε = φυλάξαι? Perhaps following that we should read ὑπ̣οζυ|γόκαμε̣ν̣ (l. ὑπεζυγώκαμεν), requiring two phonetic errors to get an acceptable perfect form of the unattested compound ὑποζυγόω (the simplex is known). |
